A wild southern side with views of the Kornati that take your breath away. A gentle northern side with villages by the sea. And a sea that is proven to be the cleanest because the current in the Pašman channel changes direction every 6 hours.
The route passes through almost the entire island. You will hardly ever experience Pašman this way.

Epic Rides on Pašman is a true island route. In translation, that means — fantastic views of the sea and surrounding islands (which are scattered very creatively in all directions around Pašman), steep but short climbs and equally steep descents, lots of gravel, somewhere a bit rougher or more scattered (if we could call it that — when the front wheel dances a little), lots of riding along the sea and the infrastructure that goes with it (read: little beaches, swimming spots, cafés and other hospitality, marinas…).
The start is in Tkon, which you reach by a 15-minute ferry from Biograd, and the route literally goes around the entire island.
The route has two completely different parts, or faces: the first part goes through the interior of the island and crosses to the southern side. There you will find all the climbs and all the gravel, no settlements, no shade — just a brutal cycling experience seasoned with views of the Kornati.
The second part of the route returns you toward the start along the gentle northern side of the island — almost flat, partly along the sea, partly through fields, through almost all the villages that line up one after another from Ždrelac to Tkon.
A full-blooded Epic Rides. Pašman is truly an island tailor-made for a cycling experience.
The feed zone is at 23 km of the Epic Rides, or at 21 km of the shorter route. The SHORT route separates from the main Epic Rides route at two points, so you can also combine them depending on your mood on the spot.

Pašman
We often, in Croatia, are not aware of the wealth we have in our islands. Because every island is a little world of its own. There are no two identical, or even similar islands, and Pašman is one of those that is truly special in many ways. And what no tourist brochure, no postcard, video or photograph will convey — that you will experience on Epic Rides, because the route passes through almost the entire island.
So what is so special about Pašman? Well, here are the things we liked the most.
First, Pašman is two worlds. The southern side is wild, empty, rugged and beautiful, with views of the Kornati that take your breath away. The northern side is settled, gentle, with small villages along almost the entire northern coast, nearly all of them (except one) by the sea.
Second, the island of Pašman has not always been called that throughout history. And in fact, from its neighbour Ugljan, from which it is today separated by a channel and a bridge, it was once separated only by a shallow that could be waded across.
Third, Pašman is proven to have the cleanest sea because the current in the Pašman channel changes direction every 6 hours.
Fourth, as we know, Pašman is an island, but it has very interesting neighbours (islands). Because besides the aforementioned Ugljan (with which it was actually connected a few thousand years ago), there are two more serious attractions: Kornati and Galešnjak. You've heard of Kornati — that's the national park, one of the proofs of how lucky you are to have been born in these parts. And Galešnjak is the heart-shaped island that internet technology (specifically Google Earth) made globally famous.
Fish, wine, olive oil, crickets and cicadas, and the combination of green and blue are simply — a given.
We spent 3 days across the island, lengthwise and crosswise, to put together an Epic Rides route that will take you through all of it. It's hard to ever experience Pašman this way.
