Harsh and icy in winter, pleasant and mild in summer. Endless forests and meadows, streams, rivers and lakes, an oasis of peace and silence just half an hour from the nearest Adriatic beaches.
Kupjak is a small place at 800 metres above sea level, with a beautiful view toward the Kupa valley and Slovenia. It probably got its name from this position above the Kupa, and in Kupjak is probably the most famous Croatian sledding hill — Gorski sjaj. Right next to it is Gorski park, a small and intimate guesthouse that was the host of the last Epic Rides in the spring part of the season.
Kupjak and Gorski Kotar bring a completely different Epic Rides — calmer, fresher and immersed in untouched nature. At 800 metres above sea level, surrounded by forests, meadows, streams and views toward the Kupa valley, this region offers the ideal backdrop for a ride that fills both body and mind. Here, nature is experienced with full lungs, far from the summer commotion and close to a silence that is rarely found anywhere today.
