Ivanec — a town embraced by Ivančica. Or Ivanščica, whichever you prefer, because both are correct.

The mountain that guards it, inspires it and names it. And the abundance of myths and legends hovering around it add that note of mystery that always makes you want to know — just a little bit more.

There is no sea here. But there is zen.

Instead of waves — the rustle of forests, mountains and hills. Instead of palm trees — an old castle, meadows and museums that carry the scent of a simpler life. Ivanec is like that school reading you skipped. And now, finally, you understand what you missed.

Somewhere between village and town. Far from the noise — but not from life. Because all around you, something alive quietly hums. Lawn mowers, tractors, circular saws, barking, cat meows and all those inexplicable soundtracks that suddenly take you back twenty, thirty years.

Ivanec knows how to have fun and move. But it also knows how to slow down — which has, honestly, become a real skill today. Paths lead everywhere — into the forest, between houses, up to hills with cellars, up to a ridge with a view that doesn't fit in any frame.

Of all the destinations so far, this is where we spent the most time finding and arranging everything into one story. It was worth it.
